Review of The Fisherman's Son Trilogy By Dr. Hugh Rosen Anyone who enters the portal
of this amazing trilogy must be prepared to confront mystery, adventure, magic,
illusion, and possibility. Yet, what one might not anticipate from this comment
is that although the books are shrouded in fantasy, they contain embedded within
them truths that young readers can apply to their own lives, continuing on
throughout adulthood...
Reviews of Return of the Golden Age
From Rebecca Brown, Original Editor and Publisher of RebeccasReads.com
Return of the Golden Age is filled with magical beings &
places (& any resemblance to the fabled green Isle of Erin is just a figment
of your imaginings), including golden rings & a mysterious
cave. Return of the Golden Age received the highest possible rating on the RebeccasReads web site, four teapots. Rebecca Brown defines a four-teapot rating as follows:
From Becky Alexander, Educator ... the story is full of fantastical adventures in caves with magic rings and powers sure to delight any child or adult interested in good time travel and fantasy books.
From Author K.L. Nappier As with “The Fisherman’s Son” and “The
City of the Golden Sun,” this novel favors ages eight to twelve in its simple,
concise reading style. But, again, there are just enough new words to expand
young minds. Ms. Peake deserves a Five Star rating for creating a trilogy easy
to read, that encourages healthy fantasy and a desire in young readers to
learn.
From Jennie S. Bev, Managing Editor, BookReviewClub.com I truly
enjoyed Marilyn Peake’s Return of the Golden Age. This final book of The Fisherman’s Son trilogy is more than
engaging. Its realism and surrealism elements are genuine and breathtaking.
Under the sea has been transformed into a magical place, thanks to the author’s
impressive story-telling skills ... At last, I’ve become a great fan of author
Marilyn Peake and her books. Perhaps someday there will be “The Fisherman’s Son”
trilogy movie, just like “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
From Tracy Farnsworth, Roundtable Reviews RETURN OF THE GOLDEN AGE sums up the previous two books
perfectly. The writing is paced well, and the characters are
appealing.
